Cooperation

In December 2022 we signed a cooperation with Schwarza Regular School. The goal of this cooperation is to familiarize students with the world of jobs and economy, to facilitate practical encounters, and to support students as they transition from school to apprenticeship.

Phases of theory at FH Schmalkalden or at Dual College Gera-Eisenach and practical phases at the company alternate and complement one another sensibly. No matter what area you decide on - a dual college education at Paatz will offer an abundance of work areas and challenging projects.

Requirements:

  • A-levels or equivalent, with university qualification
  • an interest for and understanding of the respective subject area of study
  • an affinity for technical issues
  • a self-reliant, team oriented work method

  • very good communication skills
  • English as a 2nd language (conversational skills)

Possibilities:

  • BISS: College Education integrated with Vocational Training
    • Apprenticeship as an industrial mechanic, combined with a college education as a Bachelor of Engineering in cooperation with Schmalkalden Technical College
    • Duration: 4.7 years
  • Dual Education as a Bachelor of Engineering
    • specialization in mechanical engineering, in cooperation with Schmalkalden Technical College
    • Duration: 3.5 years
  • Dual Education as a Bachelor of Engineering
    • specialization in design
    • specialization in production engineering
    • in cooperation with Dual College Gera-Eisenach
    • Duration: 3 years
